The Hellenic Single Public Procurement Authority participated with its Vice President, Mr. Adam Karaglanis, in the Conference organized by the Center for European Constitutional Law - Themistoklis and Dimitrios Tsatsos Foundation, in collaboration with the Office of the National Rapporteur for the Combating Human Trafficking (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), on preventing and combating human trafficking in public and private supply chains through the application of practical tools.
The conference was held in the framework of the implementation of the European Project "Anti-trafficking stakeholders and economic sectors networking, cooperation to combat the human trafficking chain (NET-COMBAT-THB CHAIN)".
In his presentation, the Vice President referred to socially responsible public procurement, the dangers of human trafficking in the public supply chains, he analyzed the existing framework, presented good practices and concerns, as well as suggestions and prospects for the future.
The conference had wide participation, with interesting presentations and lively discussions highlighting, inter alia, the significant scope for cooperation to further improve the relevant framework and practices. HSPPA, with its institutional role in the field of public procurement, can make a significant contribution to this end.
