On 7th December 2021, HSPPA was awarded with the Certificate for the development and implementation of Quality Management System ISO 9001:2015, in force for 3 years, thus constituting the first Independent Authority, and also the first public entity of the central administration in Greece, moving towards the direction of adopting a management and operation model, which is due to bring about strategic and functional improvements within the Authority, while at the same time, and most importantly, is due to contribute, through these improvements and their results, to the provision of high quality services to the rest of the public entities and economic operators, thus leading to better results both for the economy and the market in general, taking into account the standard as well as the unpredictable and increasing challenges and developments in the field of public procurement, on more than one levels.
The 9001:2015 standard had been a high priority for the Authority in order to fully map its procedures and their certification based on that standard. Compliance to this standard strengthens the Authority’s profile as an exemplary public authority, facilitating its relations with other entities, both domestic and abroad, due to its increased gravitas, deriving from the specific standard. Any future certification of the Authority will also be based on this standard.
HSPPA strongly believes that the award of ISO 9001:2015 Certificate enhances its presence in national, European and international field of public procurement, both through its staff and the provided services, while making the Authority stronger in reference to dealing with increased administrative challenges for public procurement and the challenges for further contribution to the fight against phenomena of maladministration and related corruption.
HSPPA constitutes a pillar providing services identical to the concept of quality and the fight against maladministration and corruption.
